Hi, I’m Sandra, a wedding florist based in Snowdonia, North Wales, working from my studio in the garden. I started Hen Dy Garden Flowers a few years ago and I feel so lucky to  have the opportunity to follow my passion.  I just love flowers and creating lovely arrangements and especially love the changing seasons with all the different varieties and colours of flowers to choose from.

I did naively start with the idea that I could grow most of the flowers myself as I have a lovely large garden and I love gardening. Very soon reality set in when trying to grow in a rainy Snowdonia and the amount of work that was involved so I have very wisely left the growing to the experts. However, I do love to use some flowers from my garden in my weddings without the pressure of relying on them to flower at certain times.

I love doing wedding flowers, from bridal bouquets and buttonholes to church and venue flowers. I would say that my style is informal, natural, loose and very romantic.

I am developing my floristry business as sustainably and eco friendly as possible. My designs are achieved without the use of floral foam (oasis) which is a type of plastic and is non recyclable, does not biodegrade completely and there are concerns about the impact on the environment and marine life. I love to find different ways of achieving amazing arrangements and installations.
